Anti-inflammatory effect: Traditionally it has been used to reduce systemic inflammation, which indirectly relieves pressure on the heart and improves blood flow to the extremities.
Support for blood pressure: By improving vascular elasticity, it helps blood to pump with lower resistance, promoting more balanced pressure levels.
How is traditional infusion prepared?
The most common use of this plant is through a tea or infusion of its leaves. Here is the classic recipe:
Ingredients:
2 or 3 medium leaves of purple maguey (well washed).
1 liter of clean water.
Preparation:
Put the water to heat in a pot until it starts to boil.
Add the leaves of the plant (you can chop them a little so that they better release their compounds).
Allow to simmer for about 5 to 7 minutes. You will notice that the water acquires a beautiful reddish or purple tone.
Turn off the heat, cover the pot and let stand for 5 more minutes.
