As the explicit messages continued, Kindred and the student arranged for an in-person encounter.
This meeting took place in November 2022, when Kindred’s husband, lawyer Kyle Kindred, was away on a hunting trip, per the Daily Mail.
The Sexual Encounter: Shocking Details Uncovered
According to the teen’s testimony, he arrived at the Kindred home between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m. on the evening of the encounter.
They began by watching a movie and kissing, but things quickly escalated.
After about 10 minutes of sexual activity on the couch, they moved to Kindred’s bedroom, where they continued until around 10:00PM.
The pair then “hung out” in the living room and later took a shower together before the teenager left around 11:30PM.
Despite the significant age difference, Washington state law permits consensual sexual activity for individuals aged 16 or older.
However, the law also prohibits authority figures, such as teachers, from engaging in sexual activity with students under 18, which is why Kindred’s actions were considered criminal.
